Hand sketching and digital sketching for fashion design

Many peoples journey into becoming a fashion designer starts with their grandma teaching them how to sew. I didn’t learn how to sew until I went to my fashion program in university. It was my love of drawing from a young age that lead me down this path. I would spend countless hours as a teenager drawing and dreaming up fantastical fashion.

While I have always loved hand sketching with pencil and paper, I have recently challenged myself to learn digital drawing. I taught myself Procreate and continue to improve my skills to stay relevant in the industry. Plus, having an “undo” button makes things a lot easier!
